Bridges & Crowns
Fixed restorations that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
Both crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist. A crown is fitted over an existing tooth or implant, while a bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring to adjacent teeth.

When Are Bridges & Crowns Needed?

How Are Bridges & Crowns Fitted?
For a crown, the existing tooth is shaped and prepared, then a detailed impression is taken and sent to a laboratory. A temporary crown protects the tooth while your permanent restoration is crafted. At the next appointment, the permanent crown is cemented securely in place. A bridge follows the same process but spans the gap of a missing tooth — the crowns on either side anchor the artificial tooth (pontic) in the middle, restoring full function.
